Serving the children of Africa

Sole Hope was created to serve African children…children infected with jiggers, small sand fleas that lay eggs in children’s bare feet. Eggs that cause sores, infection and sometimes amputation. Seeing the horrific results of the small insects, Asher Collie, Sole Hope’s founder, knew she had to do something. These were children with names and faces and stories, but without shoes. How could she NOT help?

Our message to these children is simple...

• Wear closed toe shoes and your feet won’t hurt
• If your feet don’t hurt, you can play longer and feel better

And that’s what children should do! There are millions of these precious children in Africa right now, becoming infested because of a simple problem. Sole Hope is solving that problem, one pair of shoes at a time.
